From the Headteacher, Mrs Heather Curry:
A very warm welcome and thank you for visiting the web site of Wrestlingworth VC Lower School. We hope you enjoy this glimpse of the work of our school. We always enjoy having visitors to our school and would love to see you in person, so why not come along some time.
Our School occupies a very pleasant position in this rural village set on the borders of three counties: Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The school was founded by the Church of England over one hundred and fifty years ago. It is now a Voluntary Controlled school in a modern building. The church continues to be represented on the governing body and the strong links between the school, the Church and the local community are maintained.
We are a small village school that caters for children aged 4+ to 9 years. We have small classes with a high adult to child ratio. The school can accommodate 65 children. Children are admitted in September after their 4th Birthday. Wrestlingworth has just moved into a new phase by sharing a Headteacher and becoming Federated with Dunton VC Lower School.
At Wrestlingworth we foster a happy, caring and family atmosphere. We believe that each individual is special and encourage them to achieve their full potential. We encourage the children to be well mannered at all times and to be respectful both towards each other and adults.
